Laura Button is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with experience supporting children and families in the areas of speech sound development and early communication skills.
Her clinical approach combines evidence informed practice with warmth, creativity, and collaboration, working together with families to support communication goals.
Over her career, Laura has worked across early intervention, community, and research settings, including leadership and clinical research roles with Hearing Australia and the National Acoustic Laboratories. She has contributed to national projects such as the Longitudinal Outcomes of Children with Hearing Impairment (LOCHI) study and co-authored peer reviewed publications on language, hearing, and developmental outcomes.
In her clinical work, Laura is particularly interested in assessing and providing therapy for speech sound disorders, including articulation, phonological, and motor speech difficulties, and supporting families to integrate therapy strategies into everyday routines.
Her practice is grounded in approaches that are play based, family centred and focused on strengths, aligning with the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics and current best practice guidelines.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and an MBA from La Trobe University, reflecting her commitment to both clinical and business excellence inclusive of reflective, evidence led practice.
